These buttery, garlicky, Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus Spears are a delicate and decadent way to enjoy your favorite spring vegetable!

This elegant-looking side dish is sure to impress your guests, especially once they taste them. You cannot go wrong with this pairing of luscious, tender, salty prosciutto and that butter-soaked, gently cooked, green asparagus.
It’s a dish worthy of your finer china and white tablecloths. Who would have thought it only takes 15 minutes from prep to table to make it? For added decadence, add sherry or white wine to your pan as you sauté them in butter, and pour the leftover sauce over the asparagus after plating. Very French and very delicious!
The Secret to Tender Asparagus
Don’t just cut off the end of your asparagus. Bend it, and let it break where it’s most tender. That’s one secret to tender asparagus. Another is to add oil to the butter after melting and swirl it around a bit. Also, don’t overcook asparagus. This asparagus will cook quite quickly, so don’t add the asparagus until you’ve added your minced garlic and let it sauté until it has become fragrant–about a minute and a half. Now, add your prosciutto and cook for two minutes on each side. The steam from the butter and oil will help cook your asparagus, leaving it firm and bright green!

How do I prep and store prosciutto-wrapped asparagus?
You can store the asparagus in the fridge in an airtight container for three days. These are best served fresh, though you can freeze them for up to a month. Just know that the texture may suffer when you thaw them overnight in the fridge.

- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 16 asparagus spears woody ends trimmed

Instructions
