Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats

If you love making special treats this time of year, you are going to love Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats. They’re so easy to make and perfect for the holidays. Plus, they taste amazing! These Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats are perfect for a snack, dessert or for Christmas parties. I have even made them bake sales and school snacks.

Variations to Reindeer Rice Krispies

While there are not too many ways to change up these Reindeer Rice Krispies, you can:

Change the Marshmallows– You can use different colors of marshmallows or use different flavors.

Extracts– If you want to add more flavor, you can add different extracts to the treats. Peppermint is a great flavor to add this time of the year.

Add a different cereal – Each cereal has its own flavor and texture. You can easily use a different cereal in this recipe.

How To Store Reindeer Rice Krispies Treats

If you are not serving the Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats right away, you will want to store them so that they do not get stale. You can store them in an airtight container. They should last for 5-7 days this way.

Can I Freeze Rice Krispie Treats?

Yes, you can freeze Rice Krispie Treats. In fact, it is a great way to extend the shelf life of these treats. You can simply store them in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to one month.

What Kind of Pan Should I put the Rice Krispie Treats in?

Normally I would put rice krispie treats in 9×13 pan. However, for these treats, I want to cut them into triangles. I can still do that in a regular pan, but it is much easier in a pie plate. Since the plate is circle, I can cut them like a pie. This will create the triangles I want.

What Should I Use for the Nose?

I am making the nose with an M&M. Some of my treats I am using a red candy and some I am using a brown. If you don’t have M&Ms you can also use a chocolate chip. You could even use a small bit of licorice that have been cut down with kitchen scissors.
