Are you looking for fun indoor activities to go along with the family movie time? This fun and super easy microphone craft for kids pairs perfectly with the movie SING and can be made with things you probably already have around the house. This blog post is in partnership with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
I love that SING is a movie that the whole family can enjoy. I think I enjoy this movie as my 8 year old. It is one of those movies that you instinctively want to sing along with. T and I loved the movie so much when we saw it that we rushed out and purchased the SING soundtrack. We must know every one of those songs by heart now. This super fun microphone craft is perfect to do with your children, along with watching the movie.

Microphone Craft
What you’ll need:
paper towel tube
black craft paint
Styrofoam ball
piece of aluminum foil (enough to cover the ball)
hot glue gun
stick on gems or metallic craft tape
To make the microphone, simply cut a paper towel tube in half and paint with some craft paint. Allow to dry. IÂ used black paint, but any color will work. Cover the Styrofoam ball with a piece of aluminum foil, then use a hot glue gun to attach the ball to one end of the paper towel tube. Add some bling to your microphone with stick-on gems or metallic craft tape.
Your kids will have so much fun singing their favorite songs from SING.

About SING
From Illumination Entertainment, the studio that brought you THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS comes an animated comedy about finding the music that lives inside all of us.
SING stars Matthew McConaughey as Buster Moon, an eternally optimistic koala who puts on the world’s greatest singing competition to save his crumbling theater; winner Reese Witherspoon as Rosita, an overworked and underappreciated mother of 25 piglets desperate to unleash her inner diva; Scarlett Johansson as Ash, a punk rock porcupine with a beautiful voice behind her prickly exterior; and Taron Egerton as Johnny, a young gangster gorilla looking to break free of his family’s felonies.
Get ready for some fun at-home karaoke!
And most importantly, FUN – Watch in your PJs, make food and snacks, pause for bathroom breaks, let kids be kids, and you do you! Don’t forget to make this fun microphone craft too!
