What Makes Creamed Corn Different
Creamed corn is a big difference from regular corn. The differences are not only in looks but also from what it is made from. The recipe contains cream cheese, butter, milk, and sugar to add flavor. The recipe also is a more milky and soupy type of consistency compared to regular corn.
Can Creamed Corn Be Frozen?
Yes, you can indeed freeze this creamed corn recipe. Just like many other recipes, you will want to store it in the fridge or freezer in the correct container. You can place the cooked and cooled-off corn in a Ziploc bag or place it in an air-tight container.
Ingredients
Frozen corn- Frozen corn gives the best texture to the creamed corn
Cream cheese- This provides a delicious richness
Butter- I like to use unsalted butter to control the saltiness
Milk- You can use whole or 2%
Sugar- This adds just a touch of sweetness
Salt and pepper- Add to taste, but make sure to season the corn
Fresh thyme- This is for garnish
