This is a sponsored post by Cooked Perfect. These simple-to-make slow cooker Pineapple Teriyaki Meatballs are incredibly delicious, and the perfect meatball appetizer for game day or anytime. You can easily double or triple this recipe to feed a larger crowd. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I come from a family of die-hard football fans. We are big supporters of all the Florida teams, both college and NFL. But if I’m being truthful, I have to admit that I don’t really care all that much about the game itself. The game day munchies are what I get most excited about, and I have a feeling I’m not alone in this.
This recipe for slow cooker Pineapple Teriyaki Meatballs is something to cheer about on game day! I’ll definitely be making this meatball appetizer again for the big game.
Not to toot my own horn (okay, maybe just a little), but I have to say that I make pretty great food for game day. At least judging by how quickly my family devours it. I’m a firm believer in that you don’t have to spend in the kitchen to make delicious food. Using foods like Cooked Perfect Meatballs in my recipes, gets me out of the kitchen faster and back to my friends and family.
You can really taste that Cooked Perfect Meatballs are made from the best ingredients and crafted to perfection. I’m a huge fan of that flame-broiled flavor!
For this recipe, I used the Cooked Perfect Homestyle Meatballs, found in the freezer aisle of your grocery store. Find out where to buy near you. They are bite-size and perfect for appetizers. You could alternately use Cooked Perfect Italian Style Meatballs, All Natural Chicken Meatballs, or Angus Beef Meatballs. Really though, any variety of Cooked Perfect Meatballs will work for this recipe. I also prefer to make my own teriyaki sauce. Don’t let that scare you away. It is very simple to make and uses ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. It just tastes better.
The homemade teriyaki sauce is much thicker than the bottled variety and does a great job of coating the meatballs. I also love the addition of pineapple in this recipe. It lends just the right amount of sweetness. Just make sure you buy crushed pineapple that is in pineapple juice, not syrup.
Slow cooker recipes like this are so great for game day. However, if you don’t want to use a slow cooker you can also make these meatballs on the stovetop.
You only need to cook these meatballs for 2-3 hours on the high setting. If you need to let them go a little longer, cook on low for 4-5 hours. Either way, you’re going to end up with a delicious game day appetizer.
Serve them right out of the slow cooker if you want. I like to sprinkle on some sesame seeds and chopped scallion before serving.
If you’re feeling fancy, insert some toothpicks or cocktail skewers and serve on a plate.

I think these meatballs are so delicious, even if my husband would not agree. He says pineapples are eaten as a fruit, not used on pizza or in cooking meat. He is so wrong with that thought. Haha. I will make these teriyaki meatballs and see if he won’t get tempted to try one. 🙂
