Valentine's Day Basket Ideas for Kids

I am such a sap when it comes to Valentine’s Day, and am beyond thrilled to partner with The Hershey Company to share some sweet Valentine’s Day Basket ideas for kids. Ideas to help you make Valentine’s Day even sweeter for your littlest loved ones with a Valentine’s Day Basket surprise.

Everyone is familiar with the Easter Basket, but what about a Valentine’s Day Basket? I love putting together baskets for all holidays, but Valentine’s Day might just be my favorite time to make holiday gift baskets.

The key to creating a fantastic Valentine’s Day Basket is in the treats that you choose. Favorites like Hershey’s Kisses Conversation Candies (available exclusively at Target) and Reese’s Conversation Cups.

Valentine's Day Basket Ideas for Kids

A Valentine’s Day Basket filled with Hershey treats is the perfect way to send a message of love to family and friends.

Start with a nice, large basket that will hold plenty of treats. I re-purposed a red Christmas basket, and added some fun puffy stickers to the front that I found at my local craft store.

Fill the basket with paper shred and add some treats.

Every Valentine’s Day Basket should have a heart-shaped box of chocolates. Check out this great Hershey’s assortment. There is something for everyone on your list.

Here’s a great tip, if you are making multiple baskets: Pick up a variety of your Hershey’s favorites like Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Hearts filled with Caramel and Reese’s Peanut Butter 5 oz. Heart candies.

Then fill small plastic bags with a few candies, and tie with a ribbon. This is a great way for everyone to get a nice assortment of goodies.

I also like to add things like plush toys, craft kits, small games and art supplies. Below are a few items I picked up from the craft store. So much fun!

There is so much deliciousness and fun going on in this basket. I am really looking forward to Valentine’s Day this year! How about you?

Additional supplies include a round piece of cardboard (a cake round works perfectly), some paper shred, a clear plastic gift basket bag or clear cellophane paper, and some ribbon. I often find the gift basket bags at a variety of different discount stores. They are nice to have on hand.

Putting this together is easy. The picture is pretty self explanatory. It’s such a sweet and simple-to make Valentine’s Day gift!

Hershey is making Valentine’s Day unforgettable this year with family-fun filled treats to create lasting memories and help you send a “message of love” to your other Valentine – your kids!

I love these cute ideas and I know my kids would as well. My husband and I tend to not celebrate Valentine’s Day but we always spoil the kids!

I’ve never thought of a Valentine’s Day gift basket, I like it! I have in the past sent gifts to my single girlfriends to let them know they are special and loved that day – I need to get some of the items you featured in this post!

We always do something special for each other (my husband, myself, and for our son) on Valentine’s Day… you can never go wrong with chocolate! Especially Hershey’s!
