Classic Baked Penne with Ricotta

Pasta is one of the most incredible creations on the planet. You can use pasta for many things such as pasta salads, spaghetti, lasagna, and more. And, If your one to enjoy all things pasta, then this recipe is for you. This Rigatoni Pasta Bake is great for a family dinner or to enjoy with friends on any occasion.

1 (16 ounce) box Barilla® Organic Pasta Penne 1 (32 ounce) jar Barilla® Pasta Sauce 24 ounces ricotta cheese 1 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded 1 egg, beaten 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley, divided

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and set aside in a large bowl. Add the egg,  ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup chopped parsley and 2/3 of the sauce. Mix until combined.

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and spoon in penne mixture. Top with remaining spaghetti sauce, followed by Parmesan cheese.

Step 2

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes; let stand for 15 minutes and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
