This Avocado Dip Recipe makes such a quick, creamy, and chunky take on guacamole … it’s like guacamole, but amplified.

Avocado Dip Recipe

If you love guacamole but want an even chunkier experience that really celebrates the dewy, green, velvety deliciousness of the avocado, you must try this chunky, swoon-worthy avocado dip.

This dip takes the lusciousness of the avocado and boosts its flavor even further by surrounding it with complementary ingredients that help highlight the true goodness of the fruit—yes, fruit—that is the avocado.

The recipe uses a medley of other green and flavorful additions that deepen the earthy undertones in the avocado, such as lime juice and cilantro. The other way it really celebrates the avocado is through its creamy texture, which achieves a fluffy, whipped consistency, much like a whipped version of guacamole.

So, just what’s so amazing about avocado dip?

When you want a big, heaping, cool, and creamy experience of an avocado dip, this is the refreshing new take on guacamole you’ve been seeking.

This cool and savory dip is one that you can scoop up with a wide array of dippers, from crunchy chip-style dippers to big stuffed potato skins—with the added benefit of knowing you’re piling on a condiment that is healthy as well, since it is made with fresh avocados, onions, garlic, and cilantro. It also doesn’t contain any preservatives.

Take a big scoop and put it atop a taco salad, and you have a whole mound full of delicious, chunky avocado whipped up with Greek yogurt to really fluff up that avocado and give you a big, delicious bite of it.

How do I store leftovers?

You can store this dip for about 2-3 days. To do so, sprinkle some lime juice over it to prevent browning, and place plastic wrap right on top of it to keep the air out. Then, wrap it again with another layer of wrap and refrigerate. Stir before serving.

Serving suggestions

Serve this luscious, cool avocado dip with some yummy, spicy Mexican food for contrast. First, this yummy aboutamom.com recipe for Tex-Mex Enchiladas. These enchiladas are sitting in the most sweet and savory taco-meets-a-barbecue-sauce that I have ever tasted. Next, try these amazing Forget-About-Nachos Loaded Tater Tots. Kids love these because they’re Tater Tots covered in taco toppings and lots of melted cheese, so you can’t go wrong. Next, my favorite side of all on aboutamom.com, no matter what I’m serving, is this Garlic-Parmesan Grilled Corn. It is like corn on the cob covered in melted cheese butter. For dessert, nothing’s better than the sweet, flaky, delicious, buttery, creamy, coconut-y sweetness of my favorite Two-Layered Coconut Cake.
