I love making totchos. It is a great after school snack idea but also an delicious dinner idea. It is not uncommon for us to make different totcho recipes, like Loaded Totchos. We also love anything buffalo chicken, like Buffalo Chicken Dip  and Buffalo Chicken Nachos. So it seem like a natural choice to try these Buffalo Chicken Totchos Recipe.

Ingredients for Buffalo Chicken Totchos Recipe: shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, tater tots, cheddar cheese, green onions.

What are Totchos?

Totchos are tots that have been topped with other ingredients to make them like nachos. Because tater tots are baked potato shredded together, they have a crispy exterior to them.  You can do anything with them that you would do with nachos, except they are tater tots.

Can Totchos Be Reheated?

You can save and reheat the totchos. Start by letting the leftovers cool completely. Then place it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. When you are ready to reheat them, spread everything out on the cookie tray. Then reheat until everything heated through and the cheese has melted again. You can add more cheese on top if the cheese does not want to melt well.

Variations

This is a simple recipe to change up to create flavors that you love.

Want it spicier? If you want a bigger kick of heat in your buffalo chicken totchos, you can add more buffalo sauce or hot sauce. You can also add sliced jalapenos or pickled jalapenos.

Sweet Potato Tots– This will add a touch of sweetness to the the tater tots. Sweet potatoes are also considered healthy.

Blue Cheese- I am using cheddar cheese but buffalo chicken is often served with blue cheese dressing. You can use drizzle blue cheese dressing over the totchos when it out of the oven or you can add blue cheese crumbles when the nachos are done.
