This rainbow of a smoothie contains plant-based omega-3s, protein, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to give you one potent, portable glass of nutrition.

Not only is this dreamy pink-purple fruit smoothie, as Chloe and Zoe exclaim, very “slurp-a-licious,” it’s also a wholesome way to say “I love you” with a beverage.

Even deciding what color it truly is makes for loads of fun, the twins have decided. They’ve finally concurred, after much heated debate, that this smoothie looks like “pink and purple fairy dust in a glass.”

Packed with nutrition, this smoothie is sure to satiate, energize, and just be loads of sippable fun.

Moms can feel good about feeding their little ones this healthy smoothie. I mean, it contains just about every delicious fruit you can put in a smoothie and a healthy portion of (almost completely undetectable) superfood spinach in there.

Spinach, as moms know, is an important vegetable to sneak in where we can, being as it just amps up the vitamin, mineral, phytonutrient, and antioxidant power of any dish—or smoothie—like crazy. Indeed, I like to have a whole bunch of ways to make it enjoyable for kids, such as in these amazing Italian stuffed shells with spinach and ricotta.

With this smoothie, though, so many complementary fruit flavors are coming at you at once, you’ll never even taste the green. All you’ll taste is one ambrosially fruity smoothie.

Plus, this smoothie offers the added benefit of containing plant-based omega-3s from the chia seeds, making it a nutrient-rich powerhouse of a smoothie.

Say Hello To Natural Energy With This Superfood Smoothie

When you need a smoothie to energize you for a busy day at work, school, or for homeschooling the kiddos, this is the smoothie for you.

Packed with protein and a long list of good-for-you vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients like vitamins A, C, E, K, potassium, iron, magnesium, calcium, lutein, and beta carotene, you’ll be putting a dent in your nutrient RDAs with just one of these smoothies.

Moms know why working greens like spinach into beverages like these is an important effort to make. After all, not only do tart berries help mask the not-so-kid-friendly flavors of greens, but they also help kids associate good nutrition with sweetness and fun from the get-go.

This fruit and veggie-packed smoothie helps refuel us for all the things we have to do at work or play every day.

FAQs & Tips

How Do I Store Leftovers?

You can refrigerate this smoothie for 1-2 days, wrapped tightly with plastic wrap.

Can I Prep This Ahead?

You can prepare several batches of these smoothies ahead of time and freeze them. I make a quadruple portion of smoothies and freeze them in silicone Souper Cubes trays. These handy trays make it easy to freeze and twist smoothies into go-cups, letting them thaw on the way to work or school. And btw, yes, you can leave the chia seeds in these fruit smoothies when freezing them. I triple fact-checked that!

How To Make These Smoothies Vegan?

This smoothie is just one minor tweak away from being completely vegan already. So, simply use a good vegan swap for the Greek yogurt. Vegan chefs suggest substituting either coconut milk or unsweetened hemp milk for the Greek yogurt. You can also fruit up the smoothie even more by substituting 1/2 a frozen banana for every 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt. All other ingredients here are completely vegan!

Delicious Add-Ins For This Healthy Fruit Smoothie?

Berry smoothies taste great with a wide array of complementary flavors. First, I know two little girls who must think there’s a tub of strawberry whipped cream in the refrigerator somewhere for these smoothies alone (I just squeeze strawberry juice into some whipped cream with just a wee bit of strawberry jelly and swirl it around a bit). They also love it when I top these smoothies with even more crunch, stirring in some granola with those chia seeds, and then topping all of it with more cream and berries. This makes for a truly fruit-bowl-topped smoothie experience that kids love.

Serving Suggestions

I love to serve these delicious, creamy fruit smoothies with equally amazingly sweet, and fruity “bezzerts” (which is what Chloe and Zoe call breakfasts that are like desserts), like these amazing Blueberry Greek Yogurt Pancakes. They also adore this scrumptious recipe for Bananas Foster French Toast and this easy recipe for Baked Apple Cinnamon French Toast, which fills the whole house with aromas of brown sugar, baking apples, and cinnamon.

If you love this delicious fruit smoothie, try this Smoothie Bowl, which brings all the lovely pink colors and fruity flavors of this amazing smoothie to a granola bowl.
