Why does a mom need a homemade brownie mix just lying about? So you can easily whip up homemade brownies because there’s simply no comparison….

There was the summer I discovered air fryer fried chicken and made fried chicken everything. There was the summer I discovered the wonders of making homemade ice cream. There was the summer I discovered crème fraîche and had to make everything with crème fraîche—including crème fraîche ice cream. Then there was this summer, when I discovered homemade brownies.
I’d just been using a box until then, but I’ll never use one again.
Because homemade brownies—they are the bomb sha-hizzle. Using homemade, fresh cocoa powder, your own favorite flour (sifted a couple of times—which will make them extra luscious and keep your mix all fine and powdery and perfect—is the only way to go to get the most delicious brownies in the world. So we’ve put together a great brownie mix you can store and use whenever the mood strikes. Which if you’re like me, will be often.

Why You and Your Family Will Love Homemade Brownie Mix
Homemade brownie mix, I’ve discovered, is the handiest thing since the air fryer was invented. Why? Because—just the other day, I was cooking for Beth and her three soon-to-be-teen boys … and what do you know, they thought a pan of homemade brownies would hit the spot with the Dairy Queen Blasts they’d just brought home from the restaurant with bits of brownie in them. What are you going to do? Almost-teenage boys, three of them, can put away a ton of food, and that would include food from every food group, including desserts.
So this homemade brownie mix I now make in bulk. Because all of the families that I cook for could use a pan of homemade brownies—or two—or three waiting for their children when they get home from school or when their husbands get home from work (or when they themselves get a little hankering for something so sweet, rich, decadent and delicious that you just sit back and say, ahhhhhhh.)
Plus, you cannot give a better gift than the gift of good food that someone can prepare just whenever they feel like it. So put some of this mix in those mason jars with the handles on them—tied with a gingham or polka-dotted ribbon around it and give the gift of an easy-to-make pan of homemade brownies. It’s perfect for Christmas or birthday time, with a little printable of the recipe with directions for mixing it up all tied to the ribbon. Wouldn’t being able to make a delicious pan of brownies with ease be like the most thoughtful gift for just about anyone you know? Because there’s no better gift to give than the gift of something you made yourself, especially if it’s good, wholesome, delicious food.

How to Make Ahead and Store?
You can store this brownie mix in mason jars, airtight plastic containers, freezer bags, or whatever you like as long as it’s airtight for three months minimum, depending upon the freshness of your ingredients.
