It’s the simple things like these Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Stir Sticks that help to make the holiday season extra special. Don’t you think? On cold nights we love snuggling up on the couch, sipping hot cocoa. I highly recommend this homemade hot cocoa recipe.
Some nights I like to add homemade peppermint marshmallows, but these peppermint stir sticks are easier to make and just as delicious. If you are not a hot cocoa drinker, they are even great with a cup of coffee or warmed milk.
Ingredients:
Peppermint Sticks (bought mine at Target)
Melting Milk Chocolate
White Chocolate
Sprinkles
Directions:
Start by melting your milk chocolate in microwave for about 15 seconds each time until smooth. Then you will want to have a piece of wax paper set aside. Dunk your peppermint stick in the chocolate and set on wax paper. Repeat for all fo them. Then you can get your white chocolate and melt that the same way in the microwave. Mixing until smooth. Then add that into a zip lock bag to the one corner. Then twist and cut the corner off. Drizzle over your sticks and then sprinkle your sprinkles on it if you are using them. Then let harden and they are ready to go. Put them in your hot chocolate for a flavor kick!
These peppermint stir sticks would be such a sweet homemade Christmas gift for a friend, teacher or coworker. Pair them with a pretty holiday mug and some packets of hot chocolate for a complete gift.

I haven’t tried this peppermint with chocolate drink?? I think this coming holiday, I’ll put this on my list so my family have to try this yummy drink!
Yum! This is such a great idea. Love this colder weather. I can have a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy with one of these peppermint stir sticks. Or just a peppermint stir stick on its own 😉 Thanks for post.
I have always wanted to make these, but never knew where to begin! I would love to make some really thick stir sticks and basically make them like peppermint bark stir ins! I love that the options for this kind of thing are virtually endless. The colors and candy coatings can be different and it would be incredibly fun experimenting with them! Thanks for sharing, this is a great holiday recipe!
What a great idea. Fun and look good too. Pinning!
how cool is this! I’ve been keeping peppermint sticks for stirring hot chocolate – this is even better!
This would be a great idea for Christmas get togethers! They look delicious, too.
