For this recipe you’ll need a 10-inch cast iron skillet. Using an oven-safe pan for this recipe is oh-so important. Trust me. You don’t want the smell of burnt plastic in your kitchen.

Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick softened butter
1 egg
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup oats
1/2 teaspoon
1/2 cup chocolate chips

You will also need:
9″ cast iron pan
Mixing bowl
Wooden spoon

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°.
2. Grease a 10-inch cast iron pan with a little vegetable oil.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine your sugar, butter, vanilla, and mix with a hand mixer.
4. Add in your egg and mix well.
5. Now add your flour, salt, and cinnamon and mix together.
6. Add your oats and chocolate chips and mix until just combined.
7. Scoop your cookie dough into your cast iron pan and press down
8. Cook for about 23 minutes, until it is puffed, golden, and the edges have nicely browned.
9. Let cool completely on a wire rack, cut into slices, and enjoy!
