Victoria Hudgins of A Subtle Revelry has teamed up with Pledge for a series of creative videos. Each video highlights a different DIY project or craft activity. If you are familiar with her blog, you know that Victoria is a pro at making things beautiful. In the video series, Victoria shows how summer entertaining can be easy with creative DIY projects and crafts, also using Pledge Multi-Surface Cleaner to make cleanup a breeze. I love this video where Victoria creates a beautiful yet simple floral centerpiece.
Aren’t you feeling inspired after watching that video? I know I’ll be keeping a bottle of Pledge handy at all times this summer, after seeing how simple that cleanup was.
Some of my favorite ways to make summer entertaining easy:
Host a backyard BBQ.
Make it fun and festive with bright colors.
Illuminate the party area with candles and hanging lights for the perfect atmosphere during evening gatherings.
Add a twist to a classic recipe.
Plan dishes that can be prepared a day ahead.
Decorate with fresh flowers, like Victoria did in the video.
Get the kids to help clean up.
Are you feeling inspired to do some summer entertaining?
Pledge® Multi Surface Everyday Cleaner dusts AND cleans at the same time. Clean up multiple messes on multiple surfaces, all while removing up to 90% of the allergens found in dust and leaving the finish of your surfaces unharmed. See how you can dust better and clean more at Pledge.com.

Every warm day I am inspired!!! But, on these dreary rainy days, not so much!! I want to have some BBQs and pool parties!!
I hear ya, Jennifer! We’ve had a lot of rain here in GA the last few days.
Yes, yes, yes, yes! My thoughts exactly!
I’m inspired but it just won’t happen with our tiny house. Great suggestion about making things ahead!
I admire your drive.
I am too lazy for anything but taking my kids to the in-laws or the local sprinklers.
So I guess we will come to your house for the entertaining!
thanks,
Mitch
You are welcome to our parties anytime, Mitch!
I love to host back yard BBQ’s too–we love to entertain-especially in the summer due to our pool and how much fun the kids have swimming.
These are great ideas for making summer entertaining easy. Thanks so much for sharing!
BBQs are our thing too. That and breaking out to old Shark-uzzi
We have had great weather and I am aching to have our friends over for an evening. We love to entertain, but cleaning not my strong point.
I love grilling out in the summer! Now that the weather is getting better I’m looking forward to it!
We don’t have much space right now, unfortunately. But we are moving thi sfall so we should have room for get togethers next summer 🙂
Great tips! Summer is my favorite time for entertaining because you can just throw something on the grill!
I totally feel inspired to do some summer entertaining! Especially since we are moving out of the city to a home that has a yard!
I really want to do some entertaining. I hope to get a patio in my backyard this summer which will make entertaining easier.
We love to entertain! It is so hot outside, that we have to have people over indoors! lol. That’s what we get for living in Texas.
Love that! What a simple, yet awesome idea! When it heats up, its definitely necessary to find simplistic ideas.. that way I am not sweating like crazy by the time my guests arrive. Thanks for the great ideas!
Great ideas for making summer easy!!
That is beautiful! I really love DIY projects, especially in the summer when the boys can help me with them!
That flower bowl looked so easy! Love that!
I loved her idea too. So simple but adorable!
when it gets warm we love to have cook outs at my house, love to use the tips!
We BBQ often at our house with friends and family. I would like to do some crafts with my kids this summer, I will have to check out this video series.
We love to cook out at our house during the summer. Anytime I can get my husband and kids to cook I am all in!
These are great tips, we love family get togethers in the backyard especially when they are barbecues. Love using creative lighting too!
I can’t tell you how much I love pledge. It’s truly the only thing that keeps the dust from forming back so quickly.
Summer is so great for entertaing out of doors. Longer days, great weather and the kids are off from school so even a midweek party isn’t out of the question!
The only parties I’m having this summer are birthday parties. My little guy is turning 6 next month, and has requested a Super Hero Party. My daughter is turning-gasp- THIRTEEN and wants a sleepover, and my husband’s birthday is August 18th. Lots of parties, lots of planning to do!
Cannot wait to see pics from that super hero party!
I love to entertain but it seems like I have been so busy lately! Hopefully I can have a few gettogethers this summer.
We’re moving in about 40 days to a house with a HUGE deck and backyard, I can’t wait to get to know our neighbors and others in our community so we can entertain out there!
That sounds fabulous, Tammy. I’m sure you will really enjoy that for summer entertaining.
We plan to do quite a bit of summer entertaining before the baby comes in August. We have a huge backyard and it would be a shame not to use it.
I hope to do more DIY projects this summer with my family. Great ideas.
I love Pledge 😉 I bet the multi-surface cleaner would be perfect for all my different areas.
