Summer salads don’t get any better than this Bacon Ranch Layered Salad. Beautiful layers of veggies, bacon, ranch dressing and cheese. Doesn’t that salad look delish y’all?

Bacon Ranch Layered Salad

This Bacon Ranch Layered Salad recipe is sponsored by Naturally Fresh® Brand Dressings. Naturally Fresh Brand Classic Ranch dressing is part of what makes this layered summer salad so incredibly delicious.

Have you ever prepared a beautiful salad, only to ruin it by using a not-so-great salad dressing on it? I certainly have. I love making my own salad dressing, but in all honesty I hardly ever have time to do that. I love that the Naturally Fresh Brand offers high-quality, home-style salad dressings and dips with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. This means I don’t need to bother making my own, and can spend more time doing things I love.

Summertime's Best Bacon Ranch Layered Salad

Many foods on store shelves today contain artificial flavors and colors that change the way the food tastes and looks, as well as preservatives that extend their shelf life. Naturally Fresh® refrigerated dressings are different. The company creates products that taste great by using high-quality ingredients, and leaving out artificial preservatives and artificial colors or flavors.

When I went to make this salad I realized that my trifle bowl had a big crack in it. No worries. I improvised with a large glass bowl that still shows the beautiful layers of the salad. You don’t need anything special to make this recipe. Just fresh salad ingredients and a bottle of Naturally Fresh Brand Classic Ranch dressing which is made with Naturally Fresh’s very own buttermilk. There is also a Lite Ranch variety, if you are counting calories.

Ingredients:

  • 1 head iceberg or bib lettuce, shredded
  • 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 yellow pepper and 1 orange pepper, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • 6 hard boiled eggs, sliced
  • 8 – 10 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 bottle Naturally Fresh Brand Classic Ranch salad dressing

Instructions:

Step 1: In a 3 1/2 quart or larger glass bowl, beginning with the lettuce and ending with the dressing, add a layer of each ingredient.

Step 2: You’ll be dividing all of your ingredients in half to repeat with a second layer of all.

Step 3: I like to do it this way, so it’s easy to get a little of each ingredient when you serve.

Step 4: You’ll be making 2 layers with each ingredient.

Step 5: To make it more visually appealing, I reserved a little of the shredded cheese and bacon for the top. Dig in and enjoy!

Summertime's Best Bacon Ranch Layered Salad

Salads are the perfect, light summertime meal. With the addition of bacon or some chopped chicken it can be a complete meal. I hope you enjoy this layered salad recipe! Naturally Fresh® Brand Dressing products can be found at your local grocery store in the refrigerated section, typically in the produce area.
