I’m always looking for ways to make learning fun and interesting for my 8-year old. Especially during these summer months when the days are long and I worry about summer learning loss. I started to feel more hopeful when the makers of the Zap Zap Math asked me to do a review of their math practice and learning app. Please read on for my thoughts and to learn more about the Zap Zap Math App. Thanks for taking the time to read this sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Zap Zap Math App
Summer slide is something I really worry about. Kids (and parents) work so hard during the school year. What a shame it would be to lose it all over the course of a 2-3 month break from school. So far, we have been doing a lot of reading over summer break, and have found some fantastic workbooks. However, nothing holds my 8-year old’s interest like an app or online game. Zap Zap Math is available for both Android and iOS and is a fantastic way for kids to practice math and keep skills sharp. I downloaded the app to my iPone Mini which has barely left T’s hands since she started playing these fun-filled learning games.
Zap Zap Math is geared for kids ages 5 to 11 with math games for grades Kindergarten to Grade 6. It features a new & improved user interface (color scheme and design) that you’re going to love. There are A LOT of fun-filled games, over 150, on this app that teach a variety of mathematical concepts from basic addition and subtraction to fractions and division. Not only is it great for parents, but teachers too with easy-to-use analytics available to help you keep track of your child’s learning outcomes. I feel like these math games are a must for homeschoolers too! The app complies to international standards. There is even a Simplified Chinese language option now available for iOS devices. Zap Zap Math covers a range of math topics, including:
Addition
Subtraction
Time
Ratios
Fractions
Multiplication
Division
Angels
Measurement
Geometry
and More
The Zap Zap Math app is free to download!
Best of all, Zap Zap Math is FREE to download for both Android and iOS. You do have the option to upgrade to the premium version which has additional games.
All of the games are super fun and great math practice. I’m quite impressed with the comprehensive content, graphics, and ease of use. Kids can blast off to outer space, make pizzas, and visit the circus, all while learning valuable math skills. Most are quite simple to figure out, but there is a brief tutorial at the start of each game that we have found to be helpful.
Is your child competitive like mine? He or she will LOVE the multi-player quiz feature with a leader board. T gets so excited when she breaks a world score. That competitive nature keeps her at these games for hours.
What are you doing to keep math skills sharp during the summer? I encourage you to check out Zap Zap Math. T and I are huge fans!
Also, keep an eye out for Zap Zap Kindergarten Math that will be launched later in July 2017!
