It’s summer grilling season and first up is a crowd-pleasing favorite, the hot dog. Summertime and hot dogs seem to go hand in hand. They are one of life’s simple pleasures and the perfect pallet for some awesome toppings. I am so excited to share 4 killer hot dog recipes to kick off summer, but first lets talk about what to serve with hot dogs.
Some of my favorite sides to serve with hot dogs are Lemony Macaroni Salad and Ultimate BBQ Cowboy Beans or Maple Apple Baked Beans. This Garlic Parmesan Grilled Corn is another great BBQ side dish. If chili dogs are your jam, I highly recommend this homemade Hot Dog Chili recipe. It is way better than that stuff you buy in a can and is worth the extra effort. For dessert, you’ll want to make this Banana Pudding. Seriously, it is the perfect summer dessert. If bananas aren’t your thing, give this No Bake Strawberry Pie a try. It’s incredibly simple to make and ideal for a hot summer day. Wash it all down with some Sweet Citrus Mint Iced Tea.
Now, let’s talk about the hot dogs, shall we?
When grilling hot dogs for friends and family, I like to have a variety of toppings available. Ketchup and mustard are always great on a hot dog, but this summer I encourage you to kick it up a notch and try one of these creative hot dog recipes. I have to warn you though… your friends may never go home.

I am not usually a hot dog eater. But, cook it up on the grill and it changes the flavor. They taste great. I never thought to use A-1 on it. Sounds pretty good.
I love tomato on my hotdog! Thanks for sharing at the #HomeMattersParty – we’re looking forward to what you have to share next week. 🙂
