They are one of life’s simple pleasures and the perfect pallet for some awesome toppings. I am so excited to share 4 killer hot dog recipes to kick off summer, but first lets talk about what to serve with hot dogs.

Some of my favorite sides to serve with hot dogs are Lemony Macaroni Salad and Ultimate BBQ Cowboy Beans or Maple Apple Baked Beans. This Garlic Parmesan Grilled Corn is another great BBQ side dish. If chili dogs are your jam, I highly recommend this homemade Hot Dog Chili recipe. It is way better than that stuff you buy in a can and is worth the extra effort. For dessert, you’ll want to make this Banana Pudding. Seriously, it is the perfect summer dessert. If bananas aren’t your thing, give this No Bake Strawberry Pie a try. It’s incredibly simple to make and ideal for a hot summer day. Wash it all down with some Sweet Citrus Mint Iced Tea.

  • I am not usually a hot dog eater. But, cook it up on the grill and it changes the flavor. They taste great. I never thought to use A-1 on it. Sounds pretty good.

  • All of these hot dogs have me excited for summer! There’s nothing better than a hot dog from the grill, and all of these ideas look delicious!

  • I love using Bush’s baked beans& mixing KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce, and some chopped onions together and putting it on my hot dog, I also love putting sauerkraut with mushrooms and mustard on my hot dogs. Going to have to try the BLT one from above though. Awesome way to spruce up hot dogs!
