Whether you’re a football fanatic or just in it for the halftime show, game day requires some serious grub. Personally, I’m one of those people who gets more excited about the game day food than the game itself.

A lot of people (self included) tend to overindulge on game day. It’s easy to do with slow cooker recipes like Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches, Sloppy Joe Sliders, Beer BBQ Chicken Sandwiches and Pulled Pork Sliders. Feeling hungry yet? In case you can’t help but indulge a little on game day there is Pepto-Bismol.

Slow cooker recipes for game day are the absolute best. It’s nice to be able to enjoy the game, instead of fussing about in the kitchen. Did you know that January is National Slow Cooker Month? So many of the comforting foods I crave on cold winter days are made in the slow cooker.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken

I haven’t shared this recipe for slow cooker buffalo chicken sandwiches before. It’s one of those recipes that I take for granted, because it’s so easy and mouth-watering delicious. A real crowd pleasing recipe that’s been around forever. If you like buffalo wings, you’re going to love this recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 5 skinless boneless chicken breast halves
  • 12 fluid ounces bottled buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry ranch salad dressing mix
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 sandwich buns

Instructions:

Step 1: Place the chicken breasts into a slow cooker, and pour over wing sauce. Sprinkle with ranch dressing mix. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours.

Step 2: Once the chicken has cooked, shred with 2 forks and stir in the butter.

Step 3: Pile the meat onto sandwich rolls and enjoy.

Step 4: Optionally, pour a bit of ranch dressing on top of each sandwich and serve with celery sticks.

    The slow cooker is one handy tool to have in the kitchen!

    Oh my word how funny that Pepto-Bismol sponsors a group of saucy sandwiches. Then again it does make sense. Thanks for the sandwich recipes they sound delicious!
